I thought it was a cute video, so I posted it! Looks like it was made for a contest. http://www.learnnc.org/lp/editions/every-learner/6680 is a wonderful resource for a professional who is moving toward personal learning in the classroom. The resource seems to be practical and realistically adds technology to the mix which will make the transition even easier.

In my Technology Literacy Class students learned how to create Google Earth tours. Students choose from the following topics: Seven Wonders of the World, Civil War Events, Events of Lincoln's Assassination, Events of JFK's Assassination, World War II Events, World War I Events, or student choice with teacher approval. Below is an example of one 8th grade student's Google Earth Tour on the events of JFK's Assassination. http://www.learner.org/resources/browse.html?discipline=5&grade=3&imageField2.x=12&imageField2.y=13 this site contains videos of teachers discussing how students learn math best.
http://www.commoncore.org/maps/resources/digital_resources shares how common core standards and technology standards mesh. Interesting read for curriculum coordinators and technology coordinators as they plan PD's or technology funding.
