http://www.toondoo.com is a free web 2.0 software that allows one to create their own cartoon and develop their own stories. Looks like fun way to get students who are not interested in writing to join in the learning.

In my Computer Application class students learned how to merge a word document and a spreadsheet together using a function called Mail Merge. I wanted the project to be authentic, so students wrote letters from Santa. The letters where sent home to Elementary student's parents. The letters had blank spaces for parents to complete and send back in order to personalize the letters. Once the letters came back, students constructed a database using Numbers. They went through a few steps to merge the two together. Below is a video showing the results of their work. This project took place during November and December. http://www.arcademicskillbuilders.com has several games for grades k-6 to reinforce academic skills.

I found this article http://www.apple.com/education/special-education/ on apple that list the built in software that can be used to assist students with special needs.
I thought it was a cute video, so I posted it! Looks like it was made for a contest. http://www.learnnc.org/lp/editions/every-learner/6680 is a wonderful resource for a professional who is moving toward personal learning in the classroom. The resource seems to be practical and realistically adds technology to the mix which will make the transition even easier.
Differentiated instruction comprises two major dimensions — the teacher-dependent dimension and the student-dependent dimension. The two dimensions play off of one another, and each consists of its own set of variables:
